Wellness that works for you…
Wellness isn't about becoming a different person. It's about understanding yourself better and finding practices that genuinely support the way you live, think, and move through the world.
Through yoga, meditation, fitness, retreats, and coaching, I offer flexible tools—not rigid formulas—that you can adapt to your own needs, goals, and lifestyle. Whether you're just beginning, starting again, or searching for an approach that finally feels sustainable, you're welcome here.
This is a space where your individuality is respected, your challenges are understood, and small shifts are valued because they create lasting change. You don't need to fit yourself into someone else's version of wellness. Together, we'll discover what works for you.
The Heart of This Work
At the heart of this work is a simple belief: wellness should support who you are, not ask you to become someone else.
There is no single path to feeling well. Every body, every mind, and every life is different. That's why my approach is grounded in flexibility, self-awareness, and compassion rather than rules, pressure, or perfection.
I create space for the realities of everyday life—the busy seasons, the setbacks, the strengths, and the ways our brains may process the world differently. Instead of chasing an ideal, we focus on building sustainable practices that help you feel more connected, capable, and at ease in your own life.
Because true well-being isn't about fitting a mold—it's about creating a way of living that feels authentic, supportive, and sustainable for you.
Islay Nicklin MSc, RYT 500, CFT
Islay is a wellness educator, coach, and 500-hour yoga instructor who helps people create sustainable well-being in a way that works for their unique lives, bodies, and minds.
Islay first came to yoga more than 20 years ago, long before she ever imagined teaching it. What began as a personal practice gradually evolved into a deeper interest in how yoga, movement, mindfulness, and other wellness practices can support meaningful change in people’s lives.
She completed her initial 200-hour yoga teacher training in Bali in 2015. Alongside her yoga training, she became a Certified Fitness Trainer through ISSA, a Certified Nutrition & Wellness Coach through AFPA, and later earned a master's degree in Transformative Learning and Teaching from the University of Edinburgh.
Over the past decade, Islay has continued to deepen her knowledge through additional qualifications and trainings in mindfulness, meditation, yoga anatomy, yin yoga, yoga for seniors, restorative yoga, sound healing, coaching, and SUP yoga. An avid learner, she continues to explore modalities aligned with her work, including ocean therapy and forest therapy, while pursuing ongoing education in wellness and nutrition coaching, with specializations in behavior change.
Islay brings both evidence-based understanding and deep compassion to her approach. Rather than promoting rigid routines or one-size-fits-all solutions, she helps clients build realistic practices that feel supportive, adaptable, and sustainable.
What sets Islay apart is her ability to translate a wide range of wellness knowledge into practical, personalized support. By blending education, current research, ancient wisdom, and genuine human connection, she helps people build sustainable practices that work with their real lives—not against them.
